About Us:
First of all, thanks for taking the time to visit or re-visit our site! Also, thank you to all of our referral families! We are so thrilled about the great things you have to say, it makes all of our hard work so rewarding!
My name is Rebecca, I am the owner and orchestrater of Stoney Acre Puppies.
Over the years, I've built a successful breeding program specializing in raising Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and F1 & F1b Cavapoo puppies using an in-home family system.
We have a split between our Moms who live with us full time and our Moms who are in guardianship (meaning we place some of our breeding team adults in their forever homes, they participate in our breeding program during their breeding career, then retire with their forever family). All of our puppies are birthed and raised here under hand and foot, and remain with their Mom and litter mates until they transition into their forever families. The answer is always yes, you will be meeting Mom alongside her puppies when you come!
My roll is to make sure Mom and puppies have everything they need and more. Ensuring they receive the upmost care and attention during this beautiful and crazy busy time of raising puppies. Aside from mid-night puppy birthing, routine vet care, organizing vaccinations & de-worming schedules and all the puppy snuggles of course - I spend countless hours making contact with families, answering questions and sharing in the excitement with families who are just reaching out to us or keeping us up to-date on their puppy at home.
In our nursery, we have 4 puppy suites. This space has in-floor radiant heat in the winter, A/C in the summer, lots of natural light year round, individualized outdoor areas, and double magnetic sealed doggy doors to assist puppies in potty training while withstanding our Canadian winter!
Our moms are closely monitored with several daily interactions and puppy cams on the other times. We are constantly changing the structure of our puppy suites to meet the our puppies currently level of development. To start, first born until 3 weeks they are in their whelpin bin and fluffly bed liner. Once puppies start to move around more we remove the whelping bin, add a barrier so puppies cant access the doggy door quite yet, and cover the floor in large, fluffy, pine shaving. We have found this to be the cleanest most natural floor covering as puppies grow. Then, around 5 weeks we remove the barrier and begin to teach our puppies to follow mom outside to potty!
We have three children, our dog pack, and cat who are actively involved with puppy care. We spend a great deal of time out and about on our 10 acre open-field property and in our pet friendly home. We trail walk, play, visit our mini horses and enjoy one another's company. Our day to day care and interactions shape our puppies dispositions and help provide a gentle transition into his/her forever home.
We only want our puppies leaving our loving home to enter into their forever home that can provide the same level of care.
We wish you luck on your journey to find your forever puppy.

Balance & Priorities
The picture below is a glimpse into our lives. Welcoming a litter is both one of the most exciting yet anxious times, praying each puppy arrives safe and sound. When one of our moms welcomes a litter I am by her side, day or night.
I decided to share this photo. This is one of our momma’s about to welcome her sweet new bundles. I have comfy chair, a hot coffee, and all my birthing supplies ready. This is just a glimpse at one of the many times our dogs/puppies come first and our family time hits pause.
Please know that the time I spend doing preliminary reply’s and waitlist updates is important, but I want to keep it short. Please read through our pages to gather as much info as possible before asking questions that may already have an answer to them.
Once a family has reserved one of our puppies they have our undivided attention because we want our new puppy families to be as full of knowledge and confidence as possible.
Also, know that we are not a “facility” - so visiting us prior to having puppies who are 6 weeks + (with first vaccinations complete) doesn't have a great deal of purpose.

For us, raising our puppies is a lifestyle choice. We spend a great deal of time caring for our puppies and nurturing them as a family. Here are some “behind the scenes” shots of our day to day life with kids and puppies at play. PLEASE FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM @Stoneyacrepuppies
