Cavapoo Colouring & Coat Types
Our Cavapoos are majority F1 (first generation 50% Cavalier & 50% Poodle) & some F1B (a backcross, in this case for more hypoallergenic tendencies - meaning an F1 Cavapoo mom to our Poodle Dad). The F1& F1B crosses ensures hybrid vigor, excellent temperament, and intelligence.
Once knowing the Cavapoo breed is the breed for you, families are left to think about what sex, colour, and coat type are their preferences.
We would say 95% of our F1 puppies have wavy/curly coats and 5% have straighter coats. That is why we wait until Approx 3-4 weeks of age before fully reserving a puppy to a family.
Also our Poodle size is Miniature, so on average our puppies fall in the 14-18 lb range (although we have had weights from 10-24 lbs over the years). Some can be a tad smaller or bigger based on their adult body weight.
The photos below are a collection of our previous puppies from their time with us and as adults within their forever families. They are organized into colour categories and most show both coat types.
